Under the starry sky 🌌🔥
We spent hours around this campfire keeping warm, in deep & vulnerable conversations about the Climate crisis we’re all in, we all share this planet & are in this together.
I would like to thank
@spell for bringing me along on this retreat, I’ve gained so much knowledge which is something I truly value. Thank you for sharing your real & honest journey into a more sustainable fashion brand.
If you are looking for reliable information about the climate crisis I advise you to follow

Some of the actions I want to make going forward would be;
-Carbon offsetting my flights & sharing more facts on how to offset and what it really means, but first I have to fully understand it myself! This one is probably my biggest goal, as I fly so much and understand how bad flying is for the environment, I aim to make some better choices.
-Consume less single use plastics, living in south east Asia sometimes using a plastic water bottle can feel unavoidable but I want to work harder on avoiding this
-Choosing to work with companies who are more environmentally conscious & making moves in this direction
-Continuing to educate myself on these topics and sharing these resources with you all.
-Stop buying fast fashion, rather buy more valuable pieces that I will treasure more & will hold more resell value so they are easily recycled to a new home.
One of the points I shared with the group was how scary it can be opening up about any world issues such as this, when you have a big following online you are in the limelight for much criticism and sometimes it can be easier to sit back and avoid these conversations, I’m going to make mistakes, we all do, we are human, but I think anyone making a positive change should be supported & not attacked the moment they ‘slip up’
Knowledge is power 💪🏼
