Tell me who your friends are and I'll tell you who you are.
⠀
Today I want to talk about mutual interest and hiking. It is important to have a friend who shares the same interest as you. For instants, my pal @leanorraf - is a fan of hiking and outdoing as well as me.
In camping, it is good to have a friend who likes the thing you like. Your friend can share information that will be important. A safe path, important gear, interesting places, etc. And you can share the same thing with them.
Just don't force your friends to go hiking with you, especially if they are never done this before.
⠀
Peace! 🏔🏔🏔

SO CLOSE... YET SO FAR.
⠀
Dunno if I already told you this, but once I almost made it to Furmanov peak (yes, the easiest peak ever).
⠀
15 minutes... that was a phrase of the day. You always almost there but still far away. It starts to get annoying you know.
⠀
Anyway, so is it counts if you are almost there? Yes and no!
Yes: If made the... let's say 80% of the path. But the rest 20 are challenging for different reasons: a) hillside is too high, b) the sun is getting down very soon, c) you realize that you are not prepared at all.
No: You didn't make it.
BUT! Now you know the path. Now you might come up with the shortest way. Now you will know how long does it take to go to your destination. And next time you are gonna make it.
⠀
As for me, next time I will deff go there. Who's with me? (On summer please, I don't want to slip and break every bone in my body).
⠀
p.s. Here we are sitting - the loser club, didn't make it but still happy!
⠀
Cheers! 🏔🏔🏔

THE UNSPOKEN RULE OF HIKING
⠀
«Always greet people» - that is the thing that I learn while hiking.
At first, I did not pay much attention to it. When you go to the mountains, people are saying «hi» when they pass by, and you greet them as well. The common thing you would say.
But there is more to that. As I learned later, this is not just a kind formality.
Firstly, when you greet people you wish them luck, whether they are going up, or just heading back to the city.
Secondly, it is kind of a safety precaution. If you get lost and rescue team will start to look for you (and your group) they will ask people who have been there is they happen to see you. When you greet people, you are making a face contact; they will be able to memorize your features, your face, clothing, bag, ect. This is information will be very helpful if you go missing.
⠀
And finally it is always nice to say «HI» to someone.
⠀
Stay safe!

Today I want to talk about a serious problem - trash in mountants.
⠀
It is no surprise, that whenever men go, he leaves the trash after them. Beach, Parks, Squares, the track of human waste are the big problem. And if you can clean an area within the city and toss it into the nearest bin, the outside of the city zones are a different story. See, there are no dumpsters in the wilds, you can just throw your bottle and expect the janitor to clean it. No, you have to clean after yourself, like a responsible adult.
⠀
Couple weeks ago an article about some students who left the garbage at Kok Zhalyau blew up the KzNet. They just left plastic bags, bottles, candy wraps where they had a picnic and just left. I don't know how the story ended, but the fact that someone had a nerve to trash the nature in that amount makes sick to the stomach.
⠀
So what I want to say that is our responsibility to treat nature well, we as grown-up must be a good example, so the future generation will better. Now I will finish this mini-rant by quoting the good-old Russian movie «Берегите природу – мать вашу». #hiking #camping #naturelover #outdooring #mountainlover

If you are thinking about going hiking alone - don't.
Today I want to tell you why you should never go camping alone. Ever. Unless you freaking Bear Grills.
⠀
📍A solo trip might sound a fun idea at first, no one is pulling you back, you are walking with your own speed, you don't have to catch up with your friends, you are carrying only your cargo. But don't let those thought fool you. In mountants, you need your friends like never before.
⠀
📍Anti-social social club: Even if you are not a fan of big companies you should never go alone. Bring a friend or two with you. Firstly, it is fun when you are spending your time with your friends. If you go alone, you will get bored pretty quickly. You will feel lonely and there is no one to share your thought with.
⠀
📍I think I broke my legs: One of the main reason why you should NEVER go alone is that is dangerous. No one is there to have your back, no one will catch if you fall, and if you are lucky and you will survive that fall, no one will get you a medical treatment, and if things get ugly, there is nobody to carry you to the doctor
⠀
📍The heavy backpack is a bad backpack: If you are planning to stay overnight it is better to bring all the gear. And what is the best way to get all those stuff up and not get tired? Share it with your friend. Some of them will bring the food, the strongest one will carry a tent (which can be very heavy) that you and your friends will be staying in, the others will carry other stuff. This way you will not only make your backpack lighter but also you will never forget all the necessary stuff, because each of your friends will be responsible for their gear.
⠀
📍Smile for the bird: How doesn't like to take photos when they are camping. The beautiful nature must be documented. Of course, no camera can capture the true beauty of nature. But who doesn't want a beautiful picture of them standing on the top of the mountant? A selfie could work, but c'mon. Plus this very picture can inspire others to go hiking.
