There is so many to choose from but we finally settled on the “I don’t need a dummy” version. In the hope that it will get Ailey thinking about ditching the “dum dum”. The book is fully personalised to Ailey and even has pictures of Mummy, Daddy & Ava in it too. It comes with a lovely personalised reward chart and sticker set to encourage her which is a big hit. FriYAY - finally it’s the start of the weekend. This week has felt soooooo LONG! I’ve been feeling a bit meh the past couple of days. Think it’s a mixture of being a bit under the weather, impending surgery and just general lockdown life taking its toll. However today is a new day - a hot cuppa tea and positive pants on. B E D T I M E 💤 Let’s talk bedtime ... we have been so lucky that both our girls are really good sleepers. Don’t get me wrong we do get the odd early morning wake but on average they are in bed at 7pm and sleep until 6.30/7am. I’ve always had a really strict bedtime routine as pre-Covid my husband worked late most nights meaning I was flying solo and we all know that two tired babies and 1 tried mama doesn’t make a good mix. However Ailey has started asking for a big girl bed, she’s still in her cot at 2 and a half. We did try the transition about 6 months ago when she decided she could climb out her cot but it was a disaster. She took hours to go to sleep, woke multiple times in the night and stopped napping which made everyone’s life hell. Because of this I am really reluctant to try again 😭 How old was your little one when you moved them from cot to bed? They are amazing for practicing balancing skills and encourage a lot of open ended play with children. We have built castles & towers as well as being used as stones and beautiful jewels too. They have also come in really handy for counting and colour practice too. They are made from sustainably source beechwood - who doesn’t love a wooden toy? and are even delivered in a biodegradable postal bag. They also come with this gorgeous storage bag, which makes them so much easier to store than in a box. I honestly couldn’t recommend these more - they have been played with so much in our house.
